The man that single handedly rescued Nissan from bankruptcy, built the Nissan/Renault/Mitsubishi alliance into an actual competitor against the likes of VW and Toyota, Ghosn is one of my heroes in the automotive world. Looks like he's been under-reporting his compensation and using corporate assets for personal use.

It’s called performance based additional compensation.

Lol. Yeah he was awesome at his job.

Looks like he's been under-reporting his compensation and using corporate assets for personal use.isn't that the same as literally every executive everywhere? Guess he was either too good at it, or too bad at hiding it.

From what have gathered - dude was a brilliant business man but as sharp as a Japanese steak knife when it came to the chopping block and as far as his personality. Sounds like he pissed off the wrong Samurai - the news here is probably 10% of what really went on.

Latest report has the dollar amount at $9m/year ($44m over 5 years) that he's underreported income. Basically doubled his salary.

No clue what/how he did it. It could be something stupid like using company jet for family vacations and what not.

Very fitting that he's Lebanese. I swear every Lebanese guy that does well for himself outside of Lebanon is corrupt as hell. These guys all give us a bad name :banghead:

Renault standing behind Ghosn.

This alliance is going to be interesting coming out of this with Renault owning 44% of Nissan.
