Looking to pick up a wireless charger for my wifes Samsung Galaxy S8.

The S8 supports quick charge 2.0. You will get maximum charge with a QC2.0 base AND USB adapter. Both pieces need to support 2.0.
After that its just preference on how it looks. I have a $20 amazon special and it works great.

My second advice is to avoid the flat/ puck base type ones. They are a bit cheaper, but I find it harder to center your phone compared to the desktop stand up style.
