I think that's always been the case...the e63 wagons had the highest net worth of any customer base.

Yup. Its almost always the case that the designers get it right when they have a blank sheet. Special editions and refresh designs usually just tack on plastic bullshit out otherwise ruin clean lines.

~$125K with all the tech options, that actually seems like a relative bargain. If you go nuts with visual packages and carbon ceramic brakes though that changes in a hurry. Best looking wagon out there IMO.

I know I harp on this, but it's not always about the acquisition cost, but more about the disposal cost, i.e. how much you lose in depreciation... If it's any indication, the US allocations are being flipped for big money over MSRP already... If you can get a car, your TCO should be minimal, as resale should be very strong for a while.

So, in conclusion - Do it.
