One more update to the schedule, a new autocross venue has been found    - Airdrie Airpark

Registration is now open but will be capped at 60 drivers, rental fees for this venue are substantially higher than YYC hence the costlier entrance fees. That being said still pretty much a wash with FM events if you factor in not having to spend money on fuel to get down there & back nor 3 hours of your time.

This runway is 50% wider than Fort Macleod allowing for some more variety in the course designs

I haven't gone to an organized Auto Cross event like this before.
It says August 10th is a points event, does it mean that anybody can still register even if it's your first time going out?

Yes anyone can register.

The points are used to calculate winners of the Super Classes at the end of the year. The SASC does an excellent job of helping first timers as much as possible; we have a Rookie Coordinator whose sole job is help first timers and anyone looking for some guidance. When you arrive at the event just let someone who appears to know what is going on you are a first timer, they will point you in the right direction.

Awesome thank you

One more question, If course setup is at 7:30am, should I show up for that time or do drivers get let in later?

If this is your first time, you should be there fairly early (say 8). You won't be setting up course, but your car needs to be emptied and teched, and you will need to get as many course walks in as you can.
