With Chump Car rebranding and deciding not to return to Alberta this year, NASCC has stepped up and is organizing its own endurance race with multiple classes (including Chump). Reading the rules it looks like you won't need a race license for the lower classes either, which is nice for accessibility.

Are any Southern AB folks looking to field a team?

The race is this weekend! Any other beyonders attending? Our team will be there again hammering out laps in the old red 944.

Yup I'll be there in the good ol #47 Honda CRX. Going to try and sneak in some drag racing Friday night in the mustang also.

EDIT: CRX, not Civic. The old 47 was a Civic but met its end at spokane in 2011 :(

Took 1st in E3 class, came 4th overall right up the ass of P3 as the checkered waved. :D

Howd the 944 do?

Not good! Broke 2 rockauto cv joints on the parade lap. Fixed that and came back for 15 minutes before the oil pressure suddenly dropped to zero. We drained the oil to find sparkly bits and pieces of bearing in the oil. She done! now to decide what to do for the next engine.

That sucks, my old 540i with a welded diff had an appetite for china cv axles. OEM ones seemed to last. How bout a nice Honda engine? :D An accord v6 in the front of that would be neat and fast.

I was at a chumpcar race at laguna seca a few years ago and the overall winner was this 240z with a 3.0 V6 from a Honda Accord. Snapped some pics of it
