It’s unlimited play now (time constrained). Swipe card, get a token, repeat. Last time I was there some mom literally camped out on that machine because at the rate you get tokens from your card, you would get an large amount of tickets. Little did she know they jacked up the number of tickets needed for prizes to counter this.

We cheated on the basketball game at Chuck like infinity years ago and yards & yards of tickets just poured out of that stupid machine. My friend shit his pants when he saw how many came out.
Cashed then in on something worth maybe 85 cents. I think it may have been about a kilogram of tickets. Such a fucking scam. I think this is why I barely gamble to this day.

Dude...lol.
Cheesecake Cafe is the worst fucking place ever. I think it is a local thing and isn't franchised. Could be wrong. Their food and desserts are horrid.

Cheesecake Factory on the other hand is the bomb. I eat it every time I'm in the states at least once. Can't get enough of that lemon raspberry cheesecake. And food is good too.

Not sure if they have the Cuban Sandwich on their menu at this location, however, the Cheesecake Factory is one of the only places I've had a Cuban sandwich outside of Florida which was any good.

Yup. Always scary when a restaurant has several hundred items on the menu, but we went to one in San Diego and the food was actually fairly decent.

Seems to be the sweet spot for US chains though... next to Buffalo Wild Wings and just up the street from Olive Garden and Red Lobster in Marlborough.

nice, pretty happy about this.

went there in Hawaii and it was pretty good. as mentioned their desserts are above average. I think i had some shrimp pasta and it was pretty good too. Heavy and big portions just like you'd expect from an american comfort food chain.

Portion size is outrageous, and the cheesecake significantly exceeds expectations.

I'm assuming, like most other US things that come to Canada, that ours won't be as good. Case study: Buffalo Wild Wings. Definitely different here than there (e.g. they offer unlimited wings there for like $5).

Moot point though. I definitely won't be travelling all the way to the NE for this, no matter how good the cheescake is. (scared white guy, checking in)

Indubitably good sir, we shall stick to our local Mercato/Vin room etc. I would say Red Water but it was recently replaced with Allora (of which I should really go try... love me some Italian)

They have those exact ticket machines at a Treehouse Play center we were at for a 2 year old's birthday recently. A bunch of us played games for tickets to pool them and buy a toy for the birthday girl, we had way over 1000 tickets, and the most we could buy was a dollar store item worth maybe $0.25-0.50 haha. The paper the tickets were printed on were worth more I'm sure. The ratio is such that there isn't even any point to playing, you'd have to hit the grand prize "500 tickets" jackpots or whatever dozens and dozens of times in a row to even think about a decent prize.

Took my 5 year old there 2 weeks ago and me and my wife did the exact same thing lol it was a pain in the ass to swipe to get each coin but we were getting a good amount of tickets. We did the 60 min play and got around 900 tickets so we thought we were going to get some decent prizes. We got a kazoo, stickers and a lollipop  My kid had a good time so thats all that matters and we went on a saturday at 7:30 so it was pretty dead. I cant see a CF fitting in there though, there was a huge place under construction right across though.

The place on shag that you guys are talking about started as a cheesecake cafe but then they shut that down and someone else turned it into the cheesecake company which is now closed too. We actually went to the cheese cake company and it was very similar to the cheescake cafe with how they displayed the cakes but the food was horrible

^I used it to look at my parents old place in 2007 and saw my dad's old truck parked out front. He's not with us anymore but that was really nice to see.

First time I ever heard of Cheesecake Factory was on Big Bang Theory, I thought it was a fictional representation of Cheesecake Cafe. Hopefully Cheesecake Factory does come here, I've never been and would like to see what all the fuss is about.

It’s really not that good of a restaurant. The menu is like 40 pages long, it’s expensive and everything is deep fried from frozen.

Exactly. It's not great food, but the portions in the US are retardedly big. I can eat 2-3 meals from one plate. But then most places in the states are ridiculously large.

The actual cheesecake is better than our local ripoff version though.

Happy Hour at Cheesecake Factory in the states are pretty decent.
I remember having some cheap pork belly sliders and they were very good.

But yeah I do agree, the food isn't anything amazing but it's above average for a chain and it's plentiful. It reminds me a bit of Olive Garden but better and good cheesecakes.

I find we have great options up here. Joey's and the Keg are awesome for chain food/experience. Roku, Five Guys, Pho Pasteur, Bobby Chao's are top notch in the city for it's respective cuisine. That list covers 99% of what I eat.

Really, the only out of NW restaurants I hit up are Mercato, Vintage and Rouge.
