I'm declaring this MEGA this year.
Playoffs are here and I'm off my diet. Let's drink.

Miller high life 15 pack for $19.99 at sobeys liquor. It's got lotsa bubbles and 4.6%abv. For $4 cheaper than AGD, I'll take it.

This is winning for cheap beer. I've sampled many as Costco now carries it and it was always a go-to in those giant cans in Vegas.

I'll throw in a props for Brava as a tolerable beer as cheap as dirt.

They'll have some much better sales on it through the summer. This was an absolute necessity though, and still a pretty good deal as well as the best lid in the industry.

Booooo! Those terrible lids have cut my Big Rock can consumption down by 75%. It was 25% until I spilled one.
"Oh good! I was hoping 90% of my beer would be wasted and cleaning up spilled beer is my favorite thing to do after already drinking 4!"

But the force applied at a moment arm above the CoM on a pint glass almost always exceeds its static frictional force. So.... No.

Philips Black Magic dark ale tallboys were marked down to $1.99 at Royal Oak Co-Op so I picked up a couple. Damn good cheap beer.

I keep making the occasional Co-Op liquor store trip in hopes that their Co-Op Red will be marked down as much as they were last summer, but they haven't had a sale on them in a long ass time. But this was a nice consolation prize.

Yeah, I know quite a few people who enjoy it so I'm the exception here. If you get a chance to go to an Ace Liquor you won't be disappointed with their prices. While the savings aren't as vast on the cheap beers, you can get the good ones for closer to cheap beer prices. I used to only buy kokanee when I was feeling rich, now I bathe in it (yet still manage to not wash my legs).

Liquor Depots in Edmonton had some great selection for these but I see far fewer options in Calgary.
Hard Knox Brewery in Black Diamond does cheap fills and they have some excellent stuff. Grizzly Paw in Canmore is a good deal, too.

Not really a review, but I've been camping for 11 nights so far, and my stock has consisted of this:
Pilsner
AGD light
Coop pilsner
River valley red
River valley golden
Jasper Trail session ISA

I'm officially sick of pilsner. The coop pilsner and the river valley red are my two favourites still, and the Jasper trail session ISA is good if I want to cleanse my palette.

Overall, I still think my strategy of having multiple cheap beers is a good one. Nobody needs eighteen of one of these, but three of each seems totally reasonable.
