I am not one to write reviews but recently had an exceptional experience and thought I would share it. I very recently got my Class 6 licence and found myself researching which motorcycle school to take a few weeks ago. After a bit of research and considering the other options out there, I decided to give Motology a call.

They had some openings for the first week of April so I decided to go ahead and book the course as I was eager to learn and get my licence. Overall, the course I took was 4 hours of classroom during a weeknight followed by two 6 hour days of training on the weekend. It started in a parking lot with getting familiar with maneuvering the bikes with exercises including circles, slaloms, 90 degree turns, emergency braking, hill starts, and then a 2 hour road ride at the end. There were only 8 students in the class with 2 instructors which allowed for good feedback and they had a good selection of bikes so I could get familiar with the style I wanted to focus on.

The course was great and I was happy with how I progressed. Apart from the course being good, where I felt they really stepped up was when it came to assisting me with the process of getting my licence. With the Alberta government taking over testing, it has really become a struggle and inconvenience trying to book a road test. There were only 10-15 Class 6 tests available across the Calgary area when I booked a couple weeks ago - very limited selection, hard process to book, registries had minimal information and no evening or weekend testing. This will likely get better over time but was a hassle for me.

In the past, examiners would arrange tests with students/schools and would come to the lots where schools were taking place for the tests too, I've heard. My only option was to book a test, have someone with a full Class 6 escort me there and ideally have a bike for me to rent. Motology, for the cost of basically 2 hours time lent me one of their bikes and escorted me to the test. What stood out to me was that the instructor (James) could have just followed me in his car as the weather was wet and cold this past Thursday but instead, chose to ride there with me in the cold rain and coach me along the way. He also had a spare rain suit which he lent me... The actual test was straight forward and the examiner was nice; with just 12 hours of riding time through Motology I was able to pass the test.

TLDR: Took Motology school, good training, prepared me well for the test, they stepped up and made the process of me getting a Class 6 licence much easier at a time where the Alberta government doesn't have an ideal process in place.

Jeez, I could have done that as well, I dont charge a cent, just do it out of the kindness of my heart. Been riding for 30 years, Ive taught dozens and dozens of people how to ride over the years, also coached them in regards with what to do, what not to do when on bikes.
Regardless, I'm glad you had a fantastic experience.
