Alberta energy adviser Ed Whittingham resigns, says he ‘cannot support’ direction of Kenney government

Hopefully that means no severance.

I find it ironic that these people say removing the cap will renew opposition to infrastructure.. well the opposition never subsided when it was created so what's the point?

The cap was one of the conditions for approving TMX was it not?

From environmental groups? They've never approved it.

Outside of the point, I can't find where that was a factor in the NEB approval either

As part of the Liberals Climate Change Plan they weren’t going to put their name to a pipeline without a cap behind it. Why it was constantly brought up when they announced it.

Kenney really starting off his reign well with that stupid tweet "thanks for quitting before we could fire you". Two tweets before "we will stay humble". Quite the way to set the tone for the next four years before he's even sworn in.

Quick, get rid of anyone smarter then us! But who will be left..?

Part of their platform was firing Ed so the statement isn't surprising, but certainly lacks tact. Which is odd given how his other statements like those of working with Trudeau recently were vastly different.

But he's also the 'turn off the taps' kinda guy while accepting all walks of life.

Potentially bi-polar.

Uh, no. Just no. Whittingham has strong religious convictions, doesn't make him smart just because you agree with them as well.
