I've got a buddy who farms and he's bought my kid a pile of John Deere toys including a tractor you can take apart and a toy dash with a steering wheel and levers; the boy absolutely loves them. Now that he is also a father I'd like to return the favor and try to get some sort of O&G themed toy or at the very least some story books. I'm having a hard time finding anything that isn't models of an offshore rig on pintrest. Do beyonders have any suggestions? It doesn't need to be anything fancy or intricate and should be suitable for a toddler, I just want it to have some sort of O&G theme and be a step up from the cheap swag foam "stress ball" trucks everyone gives out.

looks like there are some design models for 3d printed pump jacks. Might need you to get a local shop or maybe the U of C to print it for you?

You can look for more generic things - heavy hauler or dozer models/toys.

You'll have to colour in the double meat though.

I got a lego pumpjack and a lego coil tubing truck from a conference one time. They just have sourced them from somewhere?

Depending on the age of the kid - I've seen "Lego" pumpjack kits that were handed out as company giveaways.

There's also the Hess truck toys we get sent at work every year. https://hesstoytruck.com/

edit ^ beat me to it.

They're not Oil and Gas toys but I quite like these Battat Take apart toys.

These HESS trucks might be the key. I see on ebay their 1990 edition was a tanker truck. I've signed up for their notifications for this years toys. Thanks for finding that.

We've got a John Deere tractor version of those. The roof, hood, and all four wheels come off of it. The kid loves it and we tear it down and rebuild it at least once a day.

I wish service companies made little toy trucks or something like that. Maybe when Weatherford sells all their crap to pay the creditors a guy could pick up a model pump jack for cheap.

Coworker has a bunch sitting on his desk. They're pretty cool - noises, lights etc. There's been quite a few tankers over the years I think.
