This ask is kinda opposite from the usual travel sim card requests when going to Asia or Europe. My daughter is coming back from Thailand for a month and wants to get a prepaid sim for use while here without the upfront deposit costs.
Looks like Roam Mobility is for US only. Is there any carriers in town that have a budget friendly prepaid sim package?

I couldn’t find anything affordable when my cousin came here from HK. She ended up getting some travel sim from HK at 10% of the price here, so my guess is Thailand has similar travel sims that she could buy there.

I would ask your daughter to shop around there in Thailand. I live in HK now and I would pick one up here before even looking for one in Calgary. The cost is way lower in Asia than North America

I will get her to check in TH before coming over. Looks like Public Mobile might be another option.

Lol, we have to be one of the only countries that don't have something like this...

Another time the CRTC is "looking out for Canadian interests"... #fail smh lmao

IIRC it was like $10 for 5gb of data in Canada buying overseas. Even my India SIM card is that cheap here roaming.
