Looking to replace the current range hood with a higher powered one (600-700cfm).

Anyone replace one recently? Not looking to break the bank but something decent (500-700$).

I was looking for a built in hood for our reno last year and ended up getting one from here: https://www.kitchenhoods.ca/shop/

Located in BC and ship for free.

Got a Victory Q5-36. It was a fraction of the price of the Vent-a-hoods or similar, and very high quality. Our Contractor was very impressed with it.

If you're only replacing it for the higher CFM's, and you're a fairly handy guy around the house, retrofit a Broan exterior blower. More CFM's, and WAYYYY less noise in the kitchen.

I ended up ordering one off Amazon that was well reviewed and has a grease bucket. I actually didn't even know these existed. If it doesn't work out I'll definitely look into this

You need make up air or an interlock if you increase your CFM out to avoid negative pressure.

Not a problem if you have a 50yo house.

Or crack a window if you're going into vtech turbo mode.
