View Full Version : How much did she spend on your wedding band?

dirtsniffer

Similiar to how much did you spend on her ring, how much did she spend on yours? (or how much did you spend if you bought your own).

And what is it?

(Also kinda ironic our rings are typically an order of magnitude cheaper.)

Oops misread the title.

I mean my ring cost less than $200 but I don't think she spend any of that

First ring was stainless and $90 from people’s. I picked it myself, she didn't even come with me. Picked it up the Tuesday before the wedding. Lost that one, currently wearing a $10 Amazon ring and its just as nice.

Tungsten carbide for myself, $90
Didn't want anything more expensive than that. I also figured I would lose it right away and didn't want anything too expensive for that reason as well. Almost 6 years later and still have it, go figure haha

Got my cobalt ring from the USA somewhere then I dislocated my finger playing soccer about 6 months after the wedding and the ring was uncomfortable to wear and I haven’t worn it since although we have thought about those silicone ones.

$40, got a spare too, she bought them. Rose gold to match hers, black carbon fiber to reduce weight for madd gainzz.

Picked up an Armani watch to go with it too.

To my own surprise I spent alot of time shopping for (and paying for) my own wedding band. At first I thought I didn't care what it looks like as I just wanted something simple (no gems) and I didn't want to spend over $300, but after trying on a few dozen rings turns out I did care about the size, weight, and look.

After shopping at over a dozen stores in both Vegas and Calgary, I finally found a band that I really liked, but it was still `$1800 for white gold, which I thought was too expensive. Turns out Costco online has a near identical looking band for ~$1100 and platinum, so I bought it. Loving it so far.

When the band arrived in the mail, the mailing label actually has the company name of the original wedding band that I really liked! So I wonder if that company just white-labelled for Costco with the identical design.. if it is, then I saved >$2K by buying the Costco version.. I think the Platinum version of the brand named one was ~$3000.

Correct. I love that ring!

Not sure if anyone cares, but we get the question a lot when guys come in looking for wedding bands.
Traditional bands in white or yellow gold, you're looking at ~$500
More designed with more weight, around $1,000 - $1,300
Then we have the more complicated men's bands that are in the $1,500 - $6,000+ range.

Guys get left out when it comes to rings... not on my watch!

Titanium Buzz brand, full carbon 90 degree weave.

Like $140 bucks.

Funny story, my ring ended up in Brazil somehow. Titanium Buzz has wicked customer service and expedited a new ring for me.

Got it a week before the wedding. Then two days before the wedding my original ring also came lol.

I have a back up.

I asked Justing for the biggest, heaviest ring he could find. Got a tungsten carbide. I think it was a few hundred.

Haven't found a heavier one yet, I'd if I could, I'd be open to upgrading

No joke, I have 15+ rings at this point (possibly more). I never wore rings my whole life until I got married and then apparently went nuts. Initially my wife bought me two, one simple white gold band that was around $500 and a diamond one the was $1800. Since then I have been buying them for myself and they are anywhere from $50 to $1500+. Even ordered some custom design rings that I designed myself from scratch. Speaking of which and reading this thread, now I am going to be looking for something new again. FML.

I cant stand wearing a metal ring, so the silicone definitely made a difference as I'll actually wear it. Wasn't patient enough to ignore the metal.. this keeps wife happy

Had a Tungsten Carbide as my original wedding ring, but was not happy with it due to the weight. I have big knuckles, so the ring tends to fit loose once on and the weight made it annoying. I switched to an ultra thin $80 Titanium ring and love it.

Amazon is the correct source for all mens wedding bands. I recommend stainless steel, but they have fancier options if you are a fancy dude. Cost should be under $50. My stainless band was like $12.

Wow...

I have three...

High School, College and Wedding...

Didn't bother with an Iron ring.

The first two are in a box somewhere since they don't fit anymore.

i dropped about 300 for my wedding ring at Dana Dow in South centre.

I've got a white gold Tacori(~$4500) one, that came with a steel sports band that I never wore once. If I am worried about losing my real ring, I just leave it at home. Pretty funny going on a boys golf trip and telling the wife I'm leaving my wedding ring at home with her.

Tacori $2500. Loved it when I saw during a trunk show, now it hurts to see it dinged and scratched.

I regret since I don't wear it, while she never takes off her Tacori.
If I could redo, I'd get a basic $200 piece, bang it up and never worry about it.

Am I the only one who thinks if you buy into the whole wedding ring concept, that means you should probably buy into the symbolic meaning of buying one ring that symbolizes something and you wear the same one forever?

Otherwise it’s just jewelry, which is fine but you don’t need to pretend it means anything.

For those who may not know, Amazon has Tungsten and Titanium rings from around $10-35. Ceramic/Carbon Fiber rings are around $15. Pick one you like, buy 2-3 in case you lose one, and you're good to go. Same quality as the $200-300++ ones in jewelry stores.

And on that note, anyone who thinks that wearing (or not wearing) a wedding ring when you travel away from your spouse changes your likelihood of infidelity . . .well, it doesn't. Your lack of commitment or self control are about the same regardless of the jewelry you wear.

Really? Where are them bitches at? Since I am pretty fly for a brown guy, all them beautiful birds used to flock all over me when I was single. But ever since I got put on a lock down and started wearing these finger handcuffs, I don’t even get any owls coming near me. lol. Not saying that I want them to as I am quite happy. But I think contrary to proper belief, in reality women don’t go for married men more as a challenge as most of them are not inherently lying and cheating thieves that a majority of men are.
