I wanted to get sum subs but i know nothing about subs and I was debating on sum 15" phoenix gold titaniums. both rated at 550rms but then the TiD has dual 4 ohms and the Ti just has the single 4 ohms so which one would b better?

Thankx for the help

Both of them.

You have to pick the one that works with the amp you have.

Or

Pick one of the two and buy an amp that is meant to run it.

Assuming you're only going to buy one sub, the cheapest route to take would be to get a mono class D amp and get the Dual 4. 99% of all Class D amps are stable to 2 ohm.

Or you can get a SVC 4 ohm and use a 2 channel amp and bridge it. Most 2 channel amps are only stable to 4 ohms mono.

In any case, the first option will be less expensive, but the second may sound a little bit better.
