Even with the discount they said the best they could do is 3.99% which is lame.

My rule of thumb is always pay off all debt every month, if you can’t afford to pay it off at the end of the month, you shouldn’t be buying it

Lulz...but seriously, leasing when you own a business is the best.
$6K off a 4-series seems decent.

Buy a new BMW? Are you insane? Might as well just burn your money (certain exceptions apply - but no, not the M5 Comp).
With the current state of BMW, you would be a fool not to lease a new one... Hedge that downside and give your $15k in negative equity back to BMW Canada at the end of your term...

I’m only considering it if I can get a low interest rate, my warranty is expiring soon. I have a buyer for my vehicle so the money I get from that along with my deductible per month would be a wash. Wouldn’t bleed a cent.
You guys are so cheeky, it’s entertaining though.

Is $995 for 3M supposed to be a deal or is the "Pro" package a full wrap?

Would never buy a new vehicle, well I did once, paid cash kept it for 10 years.
Just considering a lease if I could get it for 1.24%

I assumed they would offer the same rate for a lease. :dunno:
I’m a newbie, when it comes to this.

Lease rate is almost always higher by a fair margin to account for the risk they take on the residual being lower than they estimated.

I also wouldn't get hung up on the actual rate, especially if there's a significant discount...
0.9% at MSRP can be the same as 4.9% but with a $20k discount (total Marth, but you get the point).
The other thing to look at with heavily discounted models is if the residual value of the lease changes. So many moving parts...

If you have a connection that can get me a $20k discount, I would be very interested in meeting them.

Just wait and check for new trunk money at the start of each month. It’ll keep piling on as long as the car doesn’t sell.

The way to go for sure, all you have to do is contact someone in sales and they will keep offering new discounts every month, pass until satisfied

Which car and what year are you looking at?
My guy was/is offering $40K off on a new 2017 i8 with 90 kms and $20K off on a new 2018 X6M.

Well, like I said, that was just my Marth for an example and not based on any actual numbers... Point being, you'll rarely get both a subsidized lease / finance rate and a massive discount... the money has to come from somewhere after all.
That said, I think I'd want more than $20k off a new M5 Comp to take it off BMW's hands... Remember, you'd be doing them a favour

I dunno if the Dilawri group mentality has changed but holy they were stubborn as fuck back in 2012. Was trying to negotiate a 335iS with them and they would hardly move. Tried to convince me because they owned it outright and it is on the lot that it didn't experience depreciation :rofl: I kept seeing the ad for the car on the site for a longgggg time (well over 6 months, not sure how long until they finally sold it)

It's cash incentives from manufacturer to dealer to move cars faster. Like cash in the trunk.
Typically starts in July or August to get rid of current model year cars to prepare for September next year model arrivals. Ramps up to huge numbers by October just to move old inventory.

Won't dealers just keep trying to sell cars at the same price and/or not mention these discounts so they can just keep it for themselves?

Wut? Putting money down on a lease? Better go talk to your accountant.

Volume is priority over sheer profit/car... so they offer everything they can to be as competitive on sales numbers as possible

They could but it would be to their disadvantage. You want to sell cars.
