Freezer Repair needed

4yo chest freezer seems to have quit sometime in the past few days. No clue what the problem is... doesn't sound like the fan is running at all.

Any recommendations for repair? or better to replace?

Being a Refrig mechanic, I would check the simple electrical things like the thermostat and to see if power is reaching the compressor. If the compressor runs, but no cooling, throw it out. It will cost you $20 or so at the dump. Shop rate for repair will be around $90/hr before parts, likely 1.5 hrs minimum.

I will give you a free diagnosis if you bring it to me in Cochrane.
