About as meaningful as Obama getting a Nobel prize for being black.

There was no chance this was ever going to be anyone else, those Hong kong protestors desperately wanted it to be them.

Hong Kong was never in contention, they would have had to had 10,000 rolled over in tanks - and maybe they would have a chance.

Im kinda curious how this kind of media attention so young will effect her in the long term? Will it effect her psychological well being as a adult in the future, her ability to form relationships, her career etc.

She already has mental health issues.

Depression, stopped talking as well as eating, and eventually was diagnosed with Asperger syndrome, obsessive–compulsive disorder (OCD), and selective mutism. (Wiki)

I looked her straight in her eyes when I ran into her at the corner of 4th st and 3rd ave, and she is indeed dead inside.

Person of the year generally isn’t about the greatest person of the year, it’s about the one that draws attention to an issue or something.

I always think of it as "most newsworthy" person. Hitler makes total sense in that context. So does Greta, because you can't give it to Trump every year.

That’s exactly it. You used better words than I do lol.

And I don’t think trump has ever had it, to be fair.
