BOV: Gauging interest

I'm selling my first generation blitz blow off valve. It comes with a flange that it mounted to a 2.5" pipe.

Couplings not included.

That's what the box had written on it, but when it scanned it's came up as, hot tub accessory.. I went to buy flexable radiator hose, but the hose headquarter's guy woulden't sell it to me! he kept saying it wouldent work..

I'm only running 8 Psi, I've never had any other BOV's to compare.. It sounds better than a DSM BOV,

so..what exactly does a BOV do, besides the sound? just let off pressure? or what?

A BOV Vents boost when you let your foot of the gas. You attach them to your intake track so that when you let of the throtle there is a vacum created inside the track. Avacum line is attached to the BOV so as so as the gas it lifted the BOV opens and vents. Its stops Compressure surge where the excess boost isn't vented from the intake track and forced into the motor which can one either make you lean out and blow your motor or two puts alot of stress on a turbo that is spinning at 60 000rpm and instantly is force to spin the other way. So BOV's are vital to a turbo set up.
