Nustart/Compustar Compatibility?

Got a friend who just bought a car with a Nustart 2 way system in it... i don't know what brain it is but the remote is an NU8000, its got remote start and alarm with proximity sensor.

The remote is trashed and there's only 1 remote, Anybody know if the compustar 8000 series is compatible? its proving difficult to get a new "Nu8000" remote for a decent price

Nu-start is just rebranded compustar.. Similar to viper and their Python, Rattler, Automate line. Compustar remote are most likely just as expensive as Nu-start remotes, but easier to find.

figured they might be cheaper because they are easier to find.

Or even a replacement emote and antenna kit that might be better for similar or the same.price that'll work with the existing brain.
