Dead Car

Hello, my car died this week and i am not sure what to do with it. I have a 2006 Jetta with 194k. My 3rd cylinder started to misfire and found it to have 0 psi(other 4 had 150). Im not really interested in putting a new engine in it.

Do i try and sell it as is on Kijiji, give it the Kidney(or another foundation) or is there another option i am not aware of.

Defintiely try kijiji if you want a couple $$$ for it. Otherwise, if this isnt worth the effort and time, then give away.

Sorry, that is kind of what meant. Should have said a different engine in it. Not even sure what the cost of that would be.

I used to pay about $1000 to have a 7yo used engine stuffed in a 17yo car. I'm not sure how different this would really be. I bet it's kind of cheap and will offer you more than $1k of additional use.

Throw it on kijiji for $500 as a parts car. If it doesn't sell/when you need the space, just call kidney foundation.

In all seriousness-what color is it. Looking for rust free and undamaged front bumper in Shadow Blue. Possibly other parts as well.

This is what I was going to suggest. Someone might need random parts. Interior or wheels or bumpers (as Ian mentioned). Having a $500 + towing car, then take the parts you need (slowly in your garage instead of in the yard at pick your part), and THEN it gets donated is good for the person needing the parts as well.
