I swear I just saw a blazing meteor over eastern Calgary at 5.07pm.

I had just started driving along Banff old coach road and I saw a bright flash of light. I looked up and saw a blazing fireball coming straight down over eastern alberta. It lasted just over a second and then the light went out. I wish I still had a dash cam to capture it.

I've told that stupid ass ET to go home so many times but clearly he's not listening...

Does anyone have a recording of that fan960 Kelly Kirch fireball song?

There’s a video of it on Reddit from a dashcam in Calgary.

It was a weather balloon that burnt up in the atmosphere at 3000 mph.

There’s literally thousands of these in the sky every night. Why is this a post?

Interesting...

I was at the gym at 4AM this morning and saw something zing by in the sky in the corner of my eye out the window in the sky. Maybe we are around a meteorite storm?

It's the prelude to Armageddon!

Where's Bruce Willis?

It's news because you rarely see a meteor in daylight.

It's not a meteorite until the meteoroid enters the earth's atmosphere and hits the earth-otherwise it's a meteor as it is vaporized before impact.

Exactly - i didnt think many people saw them that often unless it was a meteor shower.

We were out walking our dogs and my wife saw it. By the time I looked up it was gone.

She's pretty excited about seeing it.
