I have a new Dodge Ram and unfortunately I lost one of my fob keys and looking to get another made, I called Canadian tire and they said no problem, drive down there and the lady had no clue they did it, now I am sitting at dodge and they quoted me nearly $400 for new key and programming which I think is crazy. Anyone know a company that does key fob programming? Calgary locksmith cant do it as they don't have the new truck software.

Ebay / Amazon for the FOB and any dealer will do it for about a half hour shop time.

I had to do it for my 2011 a few years back.

Cost about 200 total if I recall...2 FOB's and programming.

Canadian tire is useless for newer stuff...cut and sold my son a $99.00 key for his 2005 Jeep TJ last year that didn't work and couldn't be programmed by them or the dealer.

Partsource does, but call before hand to see if they have the key. They didnt have my taco key so get the pleasure of having the dealer do it

Not to disagree, but I think Partsource told me they couldn't do my particular key...2011 Ram.

Could only get it done at the dealer.

Anyways...probably best to call first.

Dan the Lockman.

Insurance co's used to send him to the impound constantly to cut and program keys. I can infer by that it's cheaper than the dealer.
