Heated Tile Repair

Was going to reach out to C_Dave45 but it looks like he hasn't logged in since 2017.
I bought a house and just realized that half of the basement has heated tiles, the problem is I am getting a ground fault when turning on the system. I suspect I have a surge on one of the tiles. Has anyone used a contractor that has the knowledge and tools to troubleshoot the issue. I know I could call a company that installs the system, but I figured with beyond, somebody has got to know "a guy"

I would think you could test the continuity on the floor wires into the controller. Basically rule out if it's the controller or the wires in the floor.
If it's the the floor wires, I think it's going to be impossible to fix without lifting the floor. But Also could luck out and the fault is a broken wire coming from the floor to up the wall or grounded out on a finishing nail on the baseboards.
