Does anybody know that can install fence gates ( one at the front and one at the back ). The fencing is done already, I just need somebody to install the gates.

Do you know any good company or contractor that can do this that is reliable and not too expensive ?

Please let me know thanks !

By the wording of your post it sounds like the gates are already made, hanging gates is nothing - a great DIY job. Odd though that whomever built the fence didn't install the gates., what is up with that?

Wooden fence?

The fence was completed by the neighbour with the shared cost. But he didn’t do the door.

The door is not ready and it requires post as well for the door.

Wooden fence?

Yes.

I'm in the exact same scenario. Wooden fence with no gates on either side of the house. I've emailed quite a few people on Kijiji who build fences but the job was too small for them to quote on it. If you find someone let me know please.

Yes.

Okay, now I'm more confused - if your fence is complete then there should be a post at the end of your fence where you'd attach your gate unless you're saying you need a post installed against an existing structure such as a garage or house.

As far as not being expensive, that bird has probably flown the coop as you're asking someone to come in and do what is easily the most difficult part of the whole job.

spikerS could probably bang that out.

Post some pics. Might be up for this as I have lots of vacation days and nowhere to go. I can provide pics of previous jobs I've done for fencing. Also did some chainlink as a university student.

If your your posts are already in then pickup a gate kit from amazon. Super simple to do and comes with instructions. Will save you some monies.

I could, but I have enough projects on the go, and the rain has delayed me a lot. I have to finish up Finboy's fence this week, and then I have to finish up like 4 custom furniture commissions.

I don't think he wants to wait until August lol

Get a Peak gate kit from Home Depot, anyone can build a gate with that.

Hey Spiker, can you connect with me, I need couple gates done myself. Send me a PM.

I wouldn't hire spikerS, unless you want to wait 3 months and still not have a completed fence like was my experience with him. After 3 months I had to hire someone else to complete his job, and since he requested payments upfront and stopped showing up half way, it ended up costing me a lot more than hiring someone else from the start like I should have done. My neighbor had the same exact experience with him too.

spikerS has already declined. He is not looking for new work. He has a day job and a family that come before this type of work.

There is a beyond member who has offered in this thread to assist. He's a capable and hardworking guy.

You should build gates on the side for people like the OP. Those are sweet.

Thanks for the compliments.

I don't have a ton of spare time to build gates on the side, and I have my doubts that most people would be willing to pay what I would want to charge, to make it worth my while. I'm sure there is a market for them though and if I was unemployed this could fill some spare time.

On that note, what would Beyond be willing to pay for gates like that? I do have a guy that I've worked with to build/install stuff like this, and he would typically use my tools and shop anyways...
