Seems lots of places aren't doing dine in, or have reduced hours. Looking for Chinese restaurant that will do dine-in for lunch tomorrow. Special occasion for a small group of family.
Order from menu, not dim sum. Ideally somewhere north-central, but north for sure.

My two go-to places are either not doing eat-in or weekend lunches now. Fuckin covid.

Ginger Beef in Conventry in front of Landmark. Call ahead and reserve as room is set up for 50% occupancy now.

Further down by Harvest Hill T&T, T-Pot is also open.

Since I'm seeing a run of TPs again during this week's shopping trip, things may change quickly. Call ahead.

Hah, T. Pot won't accept tables of 4. 6 only.
But ginger beef by Landmark works. Forgot about that place.

Wheres maxboost?

Max is not even close to North central, and last I heard he didn't do dine in either.

How about Shanghai Classic for Peking duck? It's more North-North.

Too slow bro. Although I Remeber when the restaurant in that location was called Chungs. I liked it.

Different place. Shanghai Classic is by the registry near London Drugs and Safeway.

You can always sit down on the HK Cafe side with 4 people and order off of the T.Pot menu or the HK Cafe menu. 100% Cafe across Harvest Hills Blvd does dine in (at least they did last week) and can sit with 4.

A new place opened up on the other side of T&T in the complex across from the HSBC (KFC entrance off of 96th Ave) called Famous Noodles & BBQ Cafe, they are known for their wonton and dumpling noodle soups similar to a place in HK and Vancouver, but also do rice and noodle dishes plus conventional shared dishes. Good for lunch, their congee is good too.

There's also Great Taste on 64th Ave where the old Pizza Hut is on the west side of Deerfoot.

Well the way they keep saying they have former chef from Max's noodle house (forgot HK's or Van's), it unusually set my expectation very high.

All HK wonton joints in Calgary are shit compared to Max.

You 2 are talking about the same place. I remember Chung's either in 80s or 90s when the registry was Flicks Video. When Chung's packed up, Shanghai Claasic moved from 4th St/Northmount to current location.
