There wasn't enough arguing in the other two poll threads, so we need another.

If given the choice, which vaccine type would you choose in 6 months, assuming there are zero known complications with the Moderns/Pfizer mRNA ones being distributed right now?

Whichever one gets me vaccinated even one single day faster. otherwise, no fucks given.

This whole concept of letting the unformed masses “choose” something they couldn’t understand with a 6 month course on the matter is what is wrong with our society.

Is there a poll option for “what the fuck do I know”

Is there a poll vs mega thread battle brewing?

Nobody has the energy for mega threads any more.

mRNA would be my preference but ultimately it'll just be whatever is available.

Why I prefer mRNA: Technologically it's the far superior design, rather than giving your body a virus and expecting it to build the right anti-bodies you instead send it instructions specifically to make the anti-bodies you want. Moderna designed mRNA-1273 days after covid-19 was sequenced and it went perfectly through trials. No significant reactions and it worked with a higher efficacy of any vaccine in history. (Both Pfizer and Moderna are 95% and 94% which is unheard of).

So to me if you have a technology that can create very specific responses, you almost immediately have a solution rather than months of 'tweaking' the vaccine, it tests perfectly to date, and it's more effective than any other vaccine in history ... that gives me a lot of confidence. Having it work perfectly from version 1 versus other in-activated virus' having to trial a bunch of different designs and picking the best... I'd choose the former.

Moderna for sure. Pfizer needs to be what -70C? I don't want a brain freeze from a vaccine.

That's just for long term storage. It's fine above zero for 5 days.

We need separate sub forums for people who get vaccines. I don’t want to catch stupid.

You believe whatever it is you think the vaccine will do to you.

That’s a level of stupid that tends to resolve itself.

The problem with these kind of questions is that the average person does not have the brain power or level of understanding of such things.
Nor is the average person willing to put such objective thought in trying to understand. I think everyone at some level is fatigued with Covid.

With push comes to shove I think we all at some point would rather pull our pants down, get injected through the arse and get this over with.

Why bother make a poll? The people of Beyond just tell me because they know best.
