Looks like in Spring of 2003, AMG will be releasing the SLK32 with a 6 speed manual transmission! Without the crappy auto transmission robbing the power to the rear wheels, this car might be interesting. Seeing as how this is AMG and all their cars have been automatic, I am guessing they will be using the sequentronic 6 speed transmission (just like BMW's SMG). If the new SLK32 is in fact going to use this sequentronic transmission, I would be interesting in trading up for it! :) :burnout:

It'll be awesome to have a 6-speed, but Mercedes' automatic is by no means crappy.

M3 Cab! Why would you want to only pick up one chick when you can pick three?

Because when the engine blows, you'll be stranded with 3 chicks who'll spread the word to other chicks that much quicker!

AMG owners club over in Europe. However, theres conflicting information. Some say its for the current model SLK32 (r170) while some say it is for the next generation SLK30 (r171). Hopefully it'll be for the SLK32 so I can trade up!!

MB/AMG should put a real diff in their cars before adding a 6 speed. There's a lot of performance gain in traction from getting a true LSD vs their simulated limited slip via ASR, especially in the slower corners, and especiailly in the rain.

It was originally thought to only affect 09/2001 to 12/2001 builds, but now 01/2002 and 02/2002 builds are beginning to blow.
