Rode revy yesterday. Up at 6am, 7am in the parking lot (first truck there), 1ft of power on the TRAIL! Saw a black bear. Out of gas by noon.

Boulder. 2km past the cabin, then to the right ~1,000ft. The area is so huge, there was snow everywhere. There were probably 150 sleds up there, but we didn't see many of them.
I normally ride sicamous, but Revy had the pow this weekend.

That looks unreal when I did my avy course at boulder years back we had handle bar deep snow on the trail and were only given 15 minutes all day to free ride was painful.

We are heading up to vale/mcbride in two weeks so hopefully this snow keeps coming.

Heavens no! Sledding deep pow is way harder, especially when you have to dig out a stuck machine pinned against a tree or two (multiple times per day).
Dirtbike balance is all forward-backwards, wheras snowmobiling often requires a lot of side-to-side weight transfer (plus heavier machine).

LOL man when your waist deep or more in snow and you need to move that heavy ass thing around you hate yourself really quick. Its a blast to ride but you do everything you can to NOT get stuck.

Here's my opinion: I've been sledding for 25 years. I don't own a dirtbike, but I did 1,800km of the baja 1000 a few years ago (450F). https://forums.beyond.ca/threads/413693-Story-Time-I-dirt-biked-the-Baja-1000
I find mountain sledding much tougher then dirtbiking. It's exhausting, and requires an insane amount of physical input to make the sled do what you want. If I took a noob into the place in my video, they'd make it 7ft, and be tipped over or stuck in 5 seconds. Dirt bike experience will help a new sledder, though. In fact, it's 100% my sledding experience that allowed me to complete the Baja trip, having little dirt bike experience prior.
I highly recommend it though, you get to see places no one else has been to before. Every trip is an exploration. We've got ourselves into some sticky situations, trapped in a creek draw for 19 hours, dragging broken sleds out, etc. It's a blast.
