You want one that has a good balance between CFM/MPH and weight otherwise you're chasing droplets.

https://www.lowes.ca/product/corded-electric-leaf-blowers/greenworks-12-amp-leaf-blowervacuum-872996

Mine is a 6 speed though but I pretty much max it out.

Ever since I discovered the gold mine that is 1000GSM towels, I rarely use mine anymore.

1000GSM towels? Never heard of this. Where do you buy 'em? I see they're kind of pricy on Amazon, and they're bath towels?

Damn this is a good idea I have never thought of before! It would be mint to take car to car wash, wash, pull outside and blow it dry
Having been a detailer in my younger years I use to use a windshield wiper to take most off the residual water off main panels but this is some next level thinking. Need a cordless unless you are at home

When your cars ceramic coated, the leaf blower dry method is the tits.

I worry about basically sandblasting the car with dust using a leaf blower.

Maybe that’s just because my leaf blower is filthy.

Life is too short, I just try and get a bit of speed on the way home from the car wash (ceramic ftw) and then do minor spot drys in the garage when I get home. Maybe wash the windows and mirrors with a window cleaner if they need it.

Calgary is dusty af. It’s a losing battle.

Am I the only one who's been doing this for years? I use it to blow the snow off my car too. Greenworks 80v ftw.

My leafblower is purely for the car and light snow. Imagine all the stuff that comes out of it if you use it to mulch haha.

GSM just refers to the weight per square meter. The higher the number, the more water the fabric can absorb before it gets saturated. Ergo, it also takes longer to dry after you wash it.

I buy mine from Carzilla and I can do my entire G37xS with a single towel. This is the one I use:

https://carzilla.ca/products/detail-popo-twisted-rain-1400gsm-drying-towel-70x85

You can drag it across a wet hood and watch it pick up every single droplet which is how some detailers dry cars.

Tell me about it. After I handwash with Optimum No Rinse in the garage, the car has dust on it 10 minutes later. I wonder if a contributing factor is because my garage isn't drywalled.

You do it at the carwash. Which would be completely unnecessary if someone would just install blower exits into wand wash buildings. I'd pay $5 for that.

I use a leaf blower to blast the dog hair out of the interior.
Open doors, check wind direction, de-hair.

Sounds like an excellent use case for a vacuum cleaner to me…

I washed my car at Top Gear in the NE 2 weeks ago and I was hoping to air dry it on a nice Deerfoot -> Stony rip. Just as I turned onto 14 st to get on country hills blvd a wind gust nailed me with of a bunch of dirt and dust. When I got home the car was just dirty AF and I wasted my time and cash on that wash lol

I use this
https://www.homedepot.ca/product/ridgid-nxt-60-l-capacity-6-5-peak-hp-wet-dry-vacuum-with-detachable-blower/1001200972
Vacuum out the car then pull off the top and blow the car dry. The top completely disconnects. Easily the best thing I have for cleaning cars

Borrowed my neighbour's leaf blower to give this a try.

Before: car was clean, but wet.
After: car was no longer clean as it had semen on it.

I never pictured him as one who would fuck a leaf blower, but I guess I had him pegged wrong.
