Description :
I am selling my 2012 Volvo C30 R-Design T5. Car has a rebuilt status; due to a blown engine with the previous owner. Engine and trans were replaced at 30,000 km, as a result the engine and trans currently have 130,000 km. Car has been meticulously mechanically maintained. All maintenance has been done at appropriate intervals. Car has had synthetic oil changes from day one! Zero Rust! Previous owner before me went to school in Arizona, and the car was there for most of its life. Car comes with 2 keys which is uncommon on older Volvos (keys are really expensive to replace). Below is a list of maintenance done to the car either due to regular maintenance schedule or wear.

Repairs/Maintenance:
Front Sway Bar Links (110,000 km)
Front Control Arms (140,000 km)
Left front Wheel Bearing (premature failure 140,000 km)
CV Joints (160,000 km)
Time belt/tensioner/water pump (Scheduled replacement interval 140,000 km)
Radiator Fan (Premature Failure 130,000 km)
Thermostat and Thermostat housing (Leaking housing 150,000 km)
Coolant overflow tank (replaced as the old tank looked like it was getting brittle 140,000 km)
Transmission Fluid Change (Didn’t need to be done, I did it because I always change trans fluid at this interval, 140,000 km)
Pollen Filter (140,000km)
New Battery Installed August 2020
Purchased and coded second key (Car only came with one)

I have also done some modifications to the car and bought ad ons to make the car more functional, see list below.
Mods/Ad-ons:

Front Brake Kit (upgraded front brakes to Volvo V50 AWD T5 brake kit for better cooling and braking force)
Engine Belly Pan Trimmed to allow for easier oil changes
Engine Airbox trim (allows for easier removal of airbox)
Volvo Roof bars with Thule locks ($300 from Volvo dealership)
Thule Ski Racks
Roof Crate (New, paid $200)
Winter Tires (Enough tread for one more winter)
Engine code reader (I will include this)

Here is a list of features the car has from factory:
Power leather front seats
Leather seats
Premium sound system
Bluetooth
Winter and summer floor mats
LED sweeping headlights
R-Design Trim kit (interior and exterior)
Turbocharged 2.5 lt 5-cylinder engine
Sport Suspension
18-inch aluminum wheels

The bad:
Small hole in front bumper ground effects (size of a nickel) from the car hitting a parking curb rebar post
Front bumper could use a repaint due to years and years of highway mileage
Drivers seat has some minor cracking
MAF code out of range come on and off cause the MAF is missing the little filament, car runs fine, just throughs the occasional code, if it bother your, I am including an OBD2 reader to clear the codes and check others should they arise.

As stated above, this is a very well-maintained car, with only a very few number of minor issues. Most of the kilometers have been on the highway as I used to drive from Saskatoon and Calgary. Come take a test drive, you will be surprised at how much pull this car has and how well it handles. Car is low from factory, so I would ask to come on test drives to help avoid test drivers hitting the car on bumps or dips (this is how previous owner blew the engine originally). Call or text 403 471 1081 to book a test drive I can come to YYC if you are really interested in the car.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't a rebuilt status because this car was in a serious accident. The car would have a salvage title that was then fixed and inspected to now have a rebuilt title.. nothing to do with the blown engine. Do you have a Carfax?

Yes, you are correct. And for this car the previous owner hit a segmented speed bump. There was enough clearance on the body and she straddled the bump, but the engine and trans hang low in this car, and she took the pan off both. Very common on these cars, I have a body who has had two cars with this exact issue.
Rebuilt status is when a car has been involved in an accident or incident where it was claimed against insurance and the car was deemed as a salvage title because the cost of the damage exceeds the value of the vehicle/or is unrepairable. This car was the latter because when it had the engine incident, the engine and trans where very expensive. Car was then rebuilt and recertified for the road.

So long story short yes you are correct, and yes I have a VIN report, though it is not a CarFax.
