This will do me over until the Bronco's are more readily available. And this time - I actually did make money on the ZR2 so no-brainer.

Want some floor mats / a trunk liner?

They are for a JK but maybe they will fit?

OEM mopar. You are welcome to test fit.

I also have a dirty dogs trunk divider that looks cool if you are interested.

I have a couple threads floating around.

Did you buy it just for that tik tok Jeep challenge

Shak, do you have running tally of all of your vehicle purchases and how long you kept each one for? I'm betting the average length of time you possess any new car or truck is under 4 months but I'd love to see the analytics on it. Maybe a nice stacked bar chart?

I never thought I'd see the day where a Wrangler Rubicon would be $70k new.

There was just something charming about my jeep. I really enjoyed it for an under powered POS Chrysler.

I think the ZR2 was cooler though.

At this point, I think he's just trolling us.

Haha. I am enjoying it so far. I drove all the versions, v6, 4 cyl turbo (which is what this is) and the new hybrid 4xe. I personally like the 2 litre turbo the best for drivability. The 4xe was super cool as you don't hear anything when it stars and it just essentially floats, but when you try to gun it suddenly it does all kinds of weird things and takes several seconds for it to get going. Just didn't like it that much. This feels light years ahead of my 2018 JL I had but that was also really bare bones, whereas this is pretty loaded for all the options I wanted. Interior is also light years ahead, with the leather seats, 8" screen and all that. It has a nice red panel at the front that covers quarter of the dash area that I quite like and looks super cool - is a Rubicon specific feature as well. Don't think I will need to spend any money modding it as I did the old one because this already looks how I like it.

Might miss the usability of a pickup for a short period but I used that make 3-4 times in the 8 or so months I had it so I don't think it's going to be a big issue. I do eventually still want a Raptor though and didn't decide to get the old one at this time since 2021 will be coming at some point anyway. I gotta say though, I am myself getting a bit tired at this point of the somewhat frequent switching around and I think I need to slow down.

He'll buy the Bronco first, then get tired of it and lament not getting a Raptor to begin with.

Plus there had to be a hummer involved at some point.

I would normally agree, but Canada is going to have a massive new automobile shortage in 6 months. He'll be stuck with the Jeep for at least a year, and with whatever phone he has right now too.

Don't ever mistake my ridicule as hate, it's 90% jealousy, and 10% "I'd prefer to retire at 50 then spend this much on this many brand new vehicles"

Gotta do both bro.

As a side note, I thought about getting a Gladiator a bit but just couldn't get over how ugly it looks. Thought otherwise it was perfect in that it had the utility of a pickup and was also a Jeep.

A used wrangler would hold its value. A $70k new one? I doubt that.

shakalaka

All things considering, I think the Wrangler will be fine holding its value. I also negotiated the shit out of it and did not pay 70K which will help down the line.

Just checked the threads. Would have taken the floor mats, but Quadratec link you posted states they will not fit JL interior.

I am with Tik-Tok here. At least from me, it is all good-natured ribbing. I think there is a lot of jealousy that the majority of us can't swap out vehicles like you do.

I am thinking of swapping my truck out too. With the crazy dollars my truck is fetching, I am looking at options.

I have always liked jeeps. Good purchase man! I give you 5 months before you swap it for something else. I think you like the hustle and is like a crack addiction for you LOL

The gladiator only looks good when it's lifted a bit and 37s are stuffed under it. Aside from that, it's god awful ugly and the most useless "pickup" on the market. I'd rather a Honda Ridgeline ;)

I tend to agree with you. I don’t hate the gladiator at all, aside from the price.

If it wasn’t for the price I almost certainly would have had one over my Sierra, but I never needed a half ton and I knew it.

I also think the Gladiator is pretty fucking sweet looking, but I can see why it would turn people off. I'm not exactly the pickup truck demographic so maybe that's why I like it.

Haha my buddy drives one of those. The upside is it was cheap as dirt ( at least his was? ).

The lights are terribad.

But yea I’d drive the shit out of a gladiator. Exactly the kind of lifestyle truck I “need”. Heck is almost want it with an even shorter box lol. I always maintain I was immensely entertained by my wrangler for the POS it was.

Thanks guys. Yea the Gladiator has definitely grown on me cosmetically, even though I hated it at first. But as Shlade mentioned, a Rubicon version or something lifted with big tires looks quite sweet. The biggest reason I didn't explore them too seriously is because of the V6 they have, which my old Jeep had as well - I hated it and found it super sluggish. Especially compared to the 2 litre 4 cyl turbo. Right now, Gladiator only has the v6 option available, with a diesel coming down the line. The second biggest reason was my wife's reaction to them every time she sees one on the road, which is typically 'ew' or 'gross'. lol. And she generally doesn't care about vehicles or ever comments on them.

Thinking back I feel like the diesel engine is the one you want in the gladiator.

Performance wise I’m surprised you find the 4cyl much better than the V6, even at our altitude.

Sure it isn’t just the rubi’s gearing?

Hardest part of owning a Jeep is having to tell your father that you're gay.

Hey how come you’re selling your E class wheels on Facebook, shouldn’t you keep them for the next car you will likely acquire very soon?

Hey how come you’re selling your E class wheels on Facebook, shouldn’t you keep them for the next car you will likely acquire very soon?

They won't fit my GTS unless I can get 2 - 20" wheels in a different offset somehow and that appears to be impossible as they are sold out everywhere. Then the two of 4 - 19's I have will just be sitting, so I thought about just selling them as a set. Kijiiji has been insane with lowballs so I asked my cousin to post them on FB since I don't have it.

My dad's 4 cyl 2.0 feels the same way (JL - late 2018 I think). Very nimble and torquey off the line. My 2018 V6 felt slow AF and super sluggish. Could you have been that transmission I guess - the new one is obviously miles ahead.
