Interesting. I've been looking for an FD3S lately, but even the hurtiest goof example is asking $30k+

90's cars have gone bonkers in the past few years. I would consider snagging this, despite being RHD - the US market would eat it up regardless. I think RHD is still a desirable novelty there.

So they arrange everything but charge you for it.

Whatever the case, it looks like most of the stuff on that list is a hot mess. Maybe some diamonds in the rough but it would take some work and some luck to find them.

Sorry that's what I meant, you have to arrange the tow but your only option is city wide. No other towing company is allowed to be in the impound iirc.

I wouldn't bother for the reason you mentioned. Auctions are being overbid like crazy, and it has been that way for the last 15 years at least. It's the whole reason I stopped going to them.

Could be in there for anything - sometimes keys sometimes not. Fair number end up in there for no insurance/reg with keys.

But tons of parked at side of road for months too. You don't even get basic details to run - so you can't even be sure they're not OOP.

Maybe it's the angle or lighting but the paint looks mismatched and the spoiler and the aftermarket body cladding devalues the car as the FD styling is timeless stock only. Looks like another imported RHD POS to me.

^ can only be viewed the day of the auction unfortunately. So I would recommend getting there early.

I doubt you would have to jump through much if any hoops. Sometimes vehicles are impounded for (let's say) a DUI, with a minimum one month of mandatory storage fees, at $43/day, it quick it to add up, until a person just decides to not get it back. That may be the case here, and with other vehicles.

The front end is aftermarket. There's a pick of the front wheel where you can see the imprinted logo and poor fitment along the fender to the pop up headlight. The hood is also aftermarket as there's very little factory left in this car. As said above by Buster the car had a classic look stock and while this doesn't look as bad as a lot of kitted 90's cars I feel it totally devalues the car as it's no longer original.
