The almighty orange Supra from the original F&F sold for half a million bucks at a Barrett Jackson auction

https://hypebeast.com/2021/6/paul-walker-barrett-jackson-1994-toyota-supra-fast-furious-movie-car-550000-usd-record-auction-price

Pretty cool piece of memorabilia but gawd damn half a mill

It’s not even the fast one! It’s got the cosmetic stuff but a stock driveline is what I heard.

You think this car will ever get driven?

They can put the manual shift knob from the movie back on for its garage queen life.

Considering Paul Walker's M1 sold for a similar price, I rather buy the M1.

This list of cars I would spend half a million dollars on before this is extremely long

When you have that kind of money, you can appreciate what it means to own something that no one else in the world has.

^^^Exactly. All the cars that we would rather buy, they already own.

Ultimate troll move would be de-ricing it and driving it around stock to roll up the miles

Value is perceived but I don't disagree. Crazy money lol You know you are rich when.

Honest to god i would spend half a mil on the drivers seat of that supra alone. For smelling purposes obviously, that seat is RICH with walkers farts.

Ugly as hell and looked cheap inside too

Sure, in 2021 it's ugly. Back in 2001 it was awesome though.

When will The Academy stop snubbing FnF films and end their Oscar drought?

I forgot, was this at the Sunridge Spectrum back in the day when 2F2F was premiering? I remember they had some cars there, but unsure if the Supra was.

I thought this was supposed to be the 10 second car that Brian owed Dom? If it does have that kinda mods to it, then it's not completely shit. lol.

Dom got fleeced.
Jesse was the only one who knew the truth. We all know what happened to Jesse.
They took the front brakes off his car at race warz and when he didn't crash, they shot and killed him.

They had a lot of promo cars...the green Eclipse used to do all the car shows in the UK

That was so badly built, it wasn't even funny...but there's no way it was the actual one used in the movie, because surely CGI wasn't that good in 2001?!

Lots of movie cars are very badly built, mostly because they need to build a dozen of each car, and there's rarely close-ups.

The magic of television is very forgiving.

Totally true.
I have some "US Cash" used in films. It looks so little like cash, it's impossible to think it is used in movies. "MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY" prominently written on it, and yet your eyes tell you it's real, on screen.

Most movie props are hilarbad. One reason why even the most mundane things are CGI’d these days.
