Personally I think that Taiwan may just decide to join China on a handshake as the USA pulls out globally to prevent a civil war on US soil. Its pretty obvious by now any US military solution is not feasable no matter what dollar cost or timescale.
Time to bail on the USA? I'm looking at you Guam.
