It's Both! It is called the Saab 9-2.
It is a Saab that is powered by Subaru's WRX powertrain, and is geared for that person who wants leather upholstery with their WRX. I wonder if they will make an STi Saab.

The B9 is a great idea. The grille styling, hopefully, will be cleaned up and de-weirded before it is produced.
A 400 hp Hybrid is great engineering, and it is good for Subaru to enhance their reputations as innovators by running with the technology.

As great as Subaru's are, can anyone say that they are Beautiful cars? Okay, the old SVX was an interesting car, and the appearance of the 2004 Imprezas has been cleaned up a lot, but what Subaru looks beautifu?

Ok, well, the Late 90's Impreza RS coupes looked great.

But that 2 tone cladding on the Outback? Yarrgh!
Subaru could use some fresh stylistic direction.

i will agree the subaru definitely lacks in the taste department as far as styling goes.

If I were to redo the B9, I would revise the grille to resemble a lower, sleeker version of the 2004 Impreza, in order to retain brand identity, as the redesigned Impreza isn't too bad.

From the back, the B9 looks fine.

If it was cleaned up a bit, it wouldn't be too bad.
But since when did Subaru decide to enter the roadster market?

the car seems to be stealing ideas from honda, the half-plastic body reminds me of the element. (or is that just some ugly two tone thing):dunno:

Subaru is known for ugly two tone things.
Too bad!
I am glad to see them smarten up their designs and make more of the monochrome Outbacks available.
That old 2tone cladding is hideous,

2 versions available, Linear = TS, Aero = WRX.

It's a shame that GM choose to cheapen the Saab brand with these crap. All they did was put in a Saab nose and nothing else. I thought they would at least give the interior a bit of Saab treatment but no, it's 97% same as Impreza and looks REALLY cheap.

I don't oppose to platform sharing (Beetle/TT for example) but this is just wrong.

I hate to be a Saab fan right about now.

As for B9, it's interesting but too feminine. But this seems to be early CG chop. Interestingly, the new Alfa grill is growing on me.

^^wrong. 97 percent of that car are from subaru interiors(STI, legacy, wrx) not from the impreza alone. and in my opinion i think the interior looks fairly well, but it all depends on how much they are goin to sell the saab for.

Fairly well for a $25K Subaru. Horribly cheap for a $35-$40K Saab.
