I can see our puppy having a good time with it, but other than that it seems like a phone/iPad that follows your around as opposed to being in your bag/pocket. Haha.

One utility could be use as a portable camera for whichever room you want rather than installing a bunch of cameras everywhere but even then you're confined to the one floor as I don't imagine it can take stairs.

I’m sold with the “did I forget to turn off the stove?” functionality. Although I guess a simple cheap webcam pointed at the stove could also cover that. Marketing team did a decent job on this to get people interested

Go read that thread again about what I had said about what I would ultimately do. As my wife and I were expecting at the time, we had decided that if everything goes well with the pregnancy (we had one miscarriage a couple of months earlier) then it wouldn't make sense to get a puppy. However, we had another miscarriage unfortunately so I decided to say fuck it and get a puppy to lift my wife's mood and not worry so much as to how life will be with a kid and a puppy when we have no way of knowing when and if the kid will come. I didn't mention it here or anything about getting a puppy because I didn't want to make others uncomfortable about a crappy topic but since you brought it up this is why.
