I’m shocked your tires were happy in these temps. Mine were already squirrelly.

That's pretty good. You must have taken your mask off for less weight to get into the 10s.

Those are impressive numbers from a stock vehicle. AWD does wonders for sure. What app/device are you using to get the times?

Dragy

It takes video as well and super imposes the times over the video. I have video of the run as well.

That’s super impressive for an unmodded car! I bet just a tune could get it close to or into the 9s!

Stage II tune with intake and down pipes bumps the HP to 850hp. Guys are running low 10’s @ 135mph

It's crazy how fast cars are these days. I remember when a stock 12 second 1/4 mile time was considered very impressive.

This has been a topic before. Speed is common and uninteresting nowadays. You can order a sedan off the internet that goes this fast.

That's fast in Calgary! Dragy is awesome. Good to check improvement after upgrades. You might shave off a few tenths if it was sea level. It sucks we're at such high altitude and can't compete with others on the leaderboard as most are at or near sea level.

I wouldn't say it's uninteresting. The new norm today is simply a lot faster than it used to be which should be expected with improvements in technology. Cars in general are considerably better today than they have ever been. A lot of people that fancy themselves as purists on the internet whine and complain about weight of today's cars but I drove plenty of light cars in the 90's and even the best of them were very mediocre handling cars by today's standards and almost all of them were rattle trap shitboxes. You are just getting old.

No.
It's a step-change like nothing ever seen before. It's not something that "should be expected with improvements in technology". We now have cars that accelerate faster than SS motorcycles. Some of those cars even have 4 doors and trunks.

It’s so sad that the fastest 4 door sedan is an electric car. I cringe the day when combustion engines are no longer available.

I’m just glad that for me these days straight line speed is like the 3rd or 4th factor in determining what I enjoy. Otherwise I’d be in a Tesla.

I would think a Track Hawk is most aligned with All-Dressed Chips, so I'd say #TrackHawk

I had a conversation with a late 50’s guy driving a new RS6, said he bought it so he could haul lumber.

Truth. Let me break this down:

1. Looks/emotion
2. feel/handling
3. drivetrain/cylinders
4. Interior quality
5. straight line speed

1-4 are kinda tied. 5 is a distant 5th

I have a 240V outlet in my garage and actually kicked the tires on a Model 3 performance but no CarPlay or Satellite radio (I'm an NFL junkie and need my NFL radio) is kind of a deal breaker for me at present time. Straight line speed isn't special enough to settle for a car that's missing basic automobile creature comforts.

1. feel/handling
2. Interior quality
3/4. Looks/emotion
3/4. straight line speed
5. drivetrain/cylinders

We can’t be friends.

Accurate, if you use it, and there's content you like, it's worthwhile.
Spotify and podcasts work for me, but, I don't need the live sports.
