Hey guys! I haven’t used our fireplace in about 6 years now. We have an electronic switch, so no ignition button. The pilot light isn’t lit, and there is no pilot option on the module knob. I cleaned the 2 probes, made sure all wires are securely attached, but no success. Any ideas? Thank you!

Did the pilot light work 6 years ago?

the only time we actually used the fireplace was when we moved into our house 6 years ago. we have since turned the gas off, and never had the need to use it. my wife would like the fireplace lit this year, as we have company over the holidays.

Sounds like one of those "manually light to heat the thermocouple" strategies would do it.

Yep, you'll need to follow the instructions to light the pilot light. I keep the manual underneath the fireplace where the pilot light is, but if you don't have the manual then hopefully there's enough info on the plumbing underneath to tell you what kind of fireplace and you can google it.

Search around for a brand and model name and then find the instructions online.

can you take a pic of your ignition control module? I recently had the same issue, moved into a house, used the fireplace for the first winter and shut it off for a few years. Went to light it again and nothing after troubleshooting it resulted in having to buy new ignition module.

yup same one... I got mine from here looks like it's backordered.

To confirm, it's likely the same issue, when you turn on your fireplace you hear it clicking? and you don't see any spark from ignitor inside the fireplace. You can also verify it's a faulty control module by following the below steps:

1. Ensure Gas is off, Fireplace switch off.
2. Remove the pin connector from Ground (CN2)
3. Get a piece of insulated wire (jumper), you'll be connecting it to CN3 (Spark Rod Connection).
4. While ensuring connection to CN3, hold the wire away from CN2 (close but not touching). Get someone to turn on fireplace switch, if you don't see arcing then you know it's a bad controller.

and yes I did this for mine and tested it on the new one. You can also try cleaning it with one of those dust cleaner spray bottles, that did not work for me.
