Looking to stain weathered cedar siding. Wood is mostly structurally sound but not nice looking.

Want a solid color stain that will last as long as possible with the least amount of prep work (yeah just the stain unicorn, that's all). 2 coats expected, would consider using a conditioner first if worth the extra cost.

Any suggestions for most effective products?

Sub'd.
I've been told that hitting it with TSP and then pressure washing it is advised. But I don't know.
I've got a fence to do.

Check out Osmo.

It's probably the most expensive stain there is but it's also the highest rated and will last the longest. My cedar deck is going on 5 years and still looks great!

South facing too! This product is sweet because you can reapply it without sanding if needed.

How much does a gallon cost? Available in 5 gallon pails?

How is coverage? As indicated on label?

How many sq ft is your deck and how much product did it take? 2 coats? How much prep required? Just power wash?

Any wood conditioner/pretreatment?

Think it would work on wall just as well as deck?

Here’s my stained cedar on my house. First applied ~8 years ago, retreated it last summer with no prep, simply reapplied.
