Yup, an entire days trading, 5,000 trades nullified. Well over a few billion dollars that day - Unheard of in my lifetime.

What people have to realize though is that the LME and the Shanghai futures exchange aren't really "free market" or even "honorable", its more "speculative market but if the trades start going the wrong way - try again in a week or two"

Rumor has it that Elon made a quick decision to scoop up his nickel mine directly because of this.

This scenario isn't possible - unless there is no nickel left in the world.

Its a forewarning of dangers of any market. Will you actually be able to buy and sell if the stock market starts going in one direction too fast?
