Hello Beyond,

I am looking to quickly offload a 2013 Sierra Denali with hail damage.

Has anyone recently sold a truck to any of the local dealerships?
Anyone already done the leg work of shopping around to see what dealership is offering the best prices?
Anywhere easy to sell trucks to the USA?

I tried selling my F150 to dealerships, nothing but lowballs.

No matter what, you still are going to get the best price selling privately. With the cost of fuel/transportation and the cdn dollar appreciating, I don't know if exporting to the USA is as good of a value or desirable as it once was.

Good news is, any private seller should be serious about your truck, even with the hail damage, its still at a price level where either the person has cash or has financing already lined up.

Darn, I was hoping the low balls may have improved with the current market. I'll drop in to a few and see how bad the offers are.

Thanks for the feedback!

You can ask for a price from South Trail exports. But sounds like that truck is not really what's prime for export.
Post in Kijiji with detailed pics and description of any damage or flaws and the dealers and exporters will contact you. Keep in mind "lowball" offers are an opinion. The market knows more than you about what your truck is worth.

updating for future search purpose:

Dealership Offers:
- Capital Chevrolet: $7K (45 + min to get offer... huge waste of time)
- Advantage Ford: $11.5K (15 min)
- Tower Chrysler: no offer, said they did not have lot space for a hail damaged 2013 ( 10 min)
- Shaw GMC: original $11K, bumped it to $12K after seeing Fords offer on paper (10 min emails + 20 min in person)

Privately listed on FB & Kijiji:
- 50+ messages the first 24 hrs
- Roughly 20 people said they wanted to view the truck, 5-10 came
- Having dealership offers on paper was very helpful with low ball tire kickers
- Sold for $14K after 4 days on market

Sounds like you sent the exact amount of effort required on this. Nice job.

Kijiji tire kickers are the worst.
