Never saw such an egregious waste of fuel in my life. If they simply offloaded one more container ship (with approximately 15,000 twenty foot equivalent containers) It would probably outweigh a thousand military air shipments.

Why would a country that can't figure out healthcare, education or how not to kill black people be able to figure out how to feed kids?

A single plane with 40 tons sounds like a lot, but the USA is a big place - literally talking days worth of supply when spread over hundreds of millions of citizens.

If the USA is at the point where they live hand to mouth month to month, maybe its time to talk about one child policy? USA, tell me you can get more formula than one plane at a time? Can nuke a nation, but can't feed the kids - Misallocation of funding or pre-determined?

I do slightly blame white farmers in the USA for being xenophobic to the point where they would not allow any competition (and like France and their dairy cartel, gotta keep them cheese prices high afterall) Always knew the dairy cartel would come back to bite every child in the USA in the ass.

California water rationing is bad enough.

I’m no expert, or doctor, or statistician - but the amount of women voluntarily putting their babies on formula is staggering.

Mostly because they “need help in the middle of the night” instead of breastfeeding. Their partner wakes up and does it.

I’m just saying…

I think in some places they still reccomend supplementing with formula. And there is a non-zero number of mothers who have medical reasons for not being able to breastfeed 100%.

I also am not a doctor or statistician. Yet.

I'm fairly sure the babies go into hibernation if they're not fed.

My wife couldn't produce very much milk for the first, so we supplemented.

With our second baby, she breast fed 100% until the baby got her shots, and then the baby absolutely refused to breast feed.

Just curious if you happened to visit a lactation specialist after the shots?? Did your wife pump then bottlefeed?

Honest questions.

Yes we went to a lactation consultant, many times. We certainly didn't want to bottle feed, mostly because I'm a cheap SOB.

Rented a Medela titty sucker, it still didn't help.

But my friend had a child soon after our first, I happened to bump into him while he was out looking for a breast pump as his wife was also having trouble with flow. I told him to rent an expensive one instead, he followed up with me, it got her flowing like mad.

Breast feeding was not an option for us as well and we had to do formula …

But I am just surprised this thread went climate change and not how one facility can fuck a critical res.

Oh well

This is more embaracing than the mask shortages when Covid began.

It's like capitalism is a bunch of screaming toddlers entitled to profit, while being nothing but parasites. And when they fail and throw a tantrum, we just feed them more tit.

Low breastfeeding rates in the 60s must explain all the retarded boomers.
