I swear the CGI for marvel movies are starting to look really bad. Groot looks ridiculous.

Marvel has struggled to make anything decent outside of the Spider-Man’s since endgame. Hopefully they don’t butcher this too

Went and saw this last night. As a huge fan of the first movie, I feel they've gotten progressively worse. Volume 3 is not a fun movie, rather it's fairly dark that delves deeply into Rocket's back story (it's thorough but not uplifting). The jokes and light hearted ass kicking team is replaced by a sad story that is juxtaposed with the classic tunes you'd expect from this series.

I thought it was ok, and a decent way to finish the trilogy. My wife hated it as the animal experiment parts were predominant throughout and really hit a nerve.

Agreed, nearly all of the films and shows Marvel made in their "phase 4" and the few in "phase 5", have had their content take a nose dive right into the dirt. Almost every film/show pushes an agenda instead of a plot line. Men, bad or weak, misogamy and racism messages abound, instead of a decent story. If anyone who isn't familiar with the Marvel stuff and wonders wtf I mean, just watch "She Hulk's" first episode.

Semi similar feelings here: I too was a huge fan of the first film, in my top three for Marvel up to Endgame. I thought the 2nd was a pretty big disappointment when I walked out of the theater, but after re watching it many times, I've grown to appreciate it a bit more.

This third installment ranks a bit higher than the 2nd film IMO, but it's annoying as eff that they went goofy directions with all the potential arteries in the script. So much potential was wasted, and I wanted a lot more from this film. I will say the woke-BS was turned down to simmer with this film, so our favorite "not-a-pedo" director gets some credit there at least.

Anyhow, at least this film didn't have me uttering "wtf is Marvel doing, trying to destroy their company?" when I walked out of the theater (badly with a cane), unlike previous Phase 4/5 films. So, that's new since phase 3. The ending was well done for certain, and Nathan Fillion was great (huge fan since Firefly). I'd rate it the best film/content since phase 4/5, but if I ranked it against the earlier phases, it's be in the bottom 2 or 3. Just my opinion.

I was really hoping to see a huge turn from the course that Marvel's been on with Guardians 3, mostly due to Chris Pratt, and his character and nature likely having a big effect on keeping a lot of the current social weirdness/BS out of this film, as Gunn truly respects and like Pratt. Remember when he came to Pratt's defense when the blue hair and Antifa clans did a full court press trying to cancel Pratt...

Other than Pixar, rogue one, and one season of andor, Disney has only produced complete shit for years.

Anything good in that list was 5+ years old or much older.

Captain Marvel, latest Dr. Strange, Wandavision, were all dogshit. Shang Chi was mostly dogshit.

Deadpool isn't Disney.

ChatGPT makes sense for 99.99% of the garbage that's on cable/streaming/theatres.
