When I was a contractor I used CustomCare (now BenefitsMyWay). They were helpful and responsive. The past 4 years I was an employee but will go back to contracting. Has anyone used BenefitsMyWay or Olympia Benefits? I am thinking basic coverage for myself, kids, and my wife. We have our own life insurance policies, and my wife has C.I. coverage. Both companies offer add on's but I don't think we need them. Credit card has travel insurance coverage.

I was happy with CustomCare. Set up fees for these two are about the same so deciding factors would be customer service, reimbursement time, ease of filling out claims etc.

What is the point of a health spending account if you are paying for it?

Just pay for things and deduct the expenses at tax time and cut out the middle man.

I work with both CustomCare and Olympia. If you had an account with CustomCare before I would assume you can just "reactivate" it rather then setting up a completely new one. Shoot me a PM if you want me to try and help you out as I am an advisor and regularly deal with CustomCare for my clients.

Most of the time I get the money back the same day.

If you are contracting why not just turn your corp in to a PHSP with someone like Brock Health? Way better bang for your buck than paying for a plan. I run Blue Cross for the prescriptions but only because we spend more than the plan on meds for the whole family. Then anything above and beyond that, as well as the cost of Blue Cross, gets put through on brock. I am personally made whole, and my corp gets a full tax deduction for everything. Win-win

Accountable Value is like Brock Health except without the stupid two week turnaround.
