I recently read this article on the "social recession" and it resonated with me. I do think there's been a huge drop-off in how people relate to each other. People are less trusting, have less friends, a growing people have no one at all. Thoughts?

"Fewer friends, relationships on the decline, delayed adulthood, trust at an all-time low, and many diseases of despair. The prognosis is not great."

I know I'm less social now. But that might have something to do with mental issues more than a general lessened desire to interact with others.

I think generally, with the shutdowns and Covid, many people tended to keep their distance. Relationships faded, people became more used to being withdrawn. Offices closed, and those who remained working often now work from home.

I also think that social media continues to replace in-person communication at an alarming rate.
