Going on a trip and need something to watch netflix on the hotel TV. Can i use this cord to mirror netflix off my ipad to the TV? I wanted to buy one before but recall hearing that netflix wont work with these cords. https://www.apple.com/ca/shop/product/MD826AM/A/lightning-digital-av-adapter?fnode=63fb71b8d9350dd4342eab0e12d37502c95cdcc71707d5060f07949d4e84a6ecbde1ebf1d0455546bb2d34d2e2fbcecefaefb3c526d7cc3fb55ab0906d2e4b1b92b9da425a2a6ccab0992050e03477660dc09c40ebcd6e76ff709e66ff54f8da

This is just an HDMI out dongle. As long as your hotel TV allows/have a HDMI port, it'll work.

This is not casting, so the problem would be you have to walk up to the tablet everytime you want to control it.

NVM, you are right, Apple borked it with HDCP.

Many hotel tv's DO NOT allow HDMI inputs.

depending where you are going, the hotel’s tv might have netflix installed already.
if you have access to the hdmi on the tv and can change source, then maybe have a firetv stick

sadly the apple lighting to hdmi will not work

I'm with ExtraSlow on this. Tried the ports on hotel tv's before. They're running off different Samsung hotel firmware.

Just bring fireHD10 and watch your highly niche pornography on that.

Many hotel tv's DO NOT allow HDMI inputs.

They do if you have a universal remote.

I typically just watch my pornography on my phone or lap top, seems like a lot of effort to get it up on the TV.

I bring a Roku/Firestick, universal remote, and travel router. This setup works well for Netflix, Plex, etc.

Go to a hotel that has Netflix.
Does that even exist? Every hotel we've stayed at normally has those movies you can rent off the tv for stupid prices. We're staying at the hyatt in NYC and i can almost guarantee they wont have the netflix option.

This is what i do but with a google tv device. I also rename my travel router SSID to my home network so all our devices connect to it without the hassle of setting everything up.
