I got a 91 EXR and about 50% of the time I accelerate from a stop, the car stumbles and almost stalls. Any suggestions. Filters are new.

Tks.

It will idle fine at the stop and then will drop in rev's, stumbles (never gave it chance to stall), rolls forward and will be fine. Scary when trying to get through intersections or rt turn with traffic.

yeah, I know what your talking about. One time my starter was screwed and so were my plugs and wires. in stop and go traffic I needed an extra foot to stop the car from stalling all the time.

I'm pretty suire it's iqnition related!, get some plugs/wires and if the prob isn't fixed we'll go from there.

My car was and still is doing that. After going to performance wires and plugs it still does it every once in a while. My problem is with the injectors, one or more of them is a little sticky, and need a good cleaning. DON'T however go to Crappy tire and pick up some injector cleaner, imports are usually very sensitive to what goes in. BG 44K (dealer only) is what they use on my car, but they don't just toss it in the tank, they run the pure injector cleaner through the fuel system, while the car is running and then hook up the gas tank again, afterwards. It usually take a couple treatments 2 or 3. I noticed a big difference after the first one, and the second cleaning should clear everything up. Check with Honda and see what the reccomend.

My civic was doing that and i changed the O2 sensor, and that stopped it. MY O2 sensor was dirty cause my car burns a bit of oil.

o2 sensor, clean your injectors, spark plugs...try running higher octane gas for a while
