Okay... I have a problem, well what I think is a problem?

I have to make a choice, I was planning on upgrading my MR2
engine to a JDM turbo w/ only 60k, and spend all my $$$ on, intercooler upgrade, blow-off valve, boost cont..etc. to make the
2 around 300hp... BUT I sat on my friend's 2001 Ninja and cranked
the throttle and fell in love.... I don't want a Ninja, but I've alway's
wanted a bike like most people, but need a car since it snow's here... I bought my first car for $500, then went from there...

I like the Yamaha YZF R6, and l like the style of the GSX-R.. I don't
have the money to buy a new bike, but I was thinking to start on
a 98-00 .... I can buy the engine and mods, or buy the bike and
ride????? After buying either one, It will be a few years before I
can get the other, so you see my problem.. what to wait for??
Maybe in a few years I will want a diff car, (I still love MR2's), or
won't want to ride a bike?? who knows??

What would you do??

I have this posted in the lounge, but I thought It would work better here..

Dont bother with a bike - you can't drive it in the winter, you can't drive it for longer trips, can't drive it in the rain. Much more dangerous, cant take any friends anywhere, no music, no heat, nothing lol lots of reasons NOT to take a bike - and gettin the JDM engine is just one more to add to it!

Assuming you live and drive within the city more often than not, I would go with the MR2.. I think riding a bike in Calgary is a death wish, its not a question of if you are gonna get hit and smushed, its a question of where and when..To many dickheads in the city to be without doors and front bumpers..Maxt

what if you get in an accident in your mr2 and die?? i live my life on the basis that i am going to die tomorrow, so that i enjoy life to the fullest...i know it may not be the best way, but that's how i do it....the choice is yours, but if you want a bike, get one.

Fix up your MR until your totally h appy with it...then when you have extra cash later buy the rocket. Your car is still your daily driver and the bike will be for fun when weather permits.
