Just to update people, the car is almost done at the body shop. All the body work is done and waiting for paint. The shop promised March 31st but did not deliver, same as the past 5 promised dates. Kind of disapointing actually. Hopefully by the end of the month I will have some pics for you guys.

His parents have asked me to take over the car after the body shop to pick the remaining parts and get it working and tuned. Karl and Al at Speedville will also be playing a large role in the cars buildup.

Not to mention I will be enlisting a few of my friends to help as well.

His bother said he was going to take it to the track and such. So the car will be around.

2 weeks ago the body work was definitely NOT done, did they step it up and finish it finally? They are really busy there and unfrotunately it seemed to have been put on the back burner for quite a while....looking forward to seeing it....

What happened with that is, I developed a trick way to do install the timing chain with the front cover on the engine still, ie cant see the crank sprocket thus cant align with the alignment links on the chain. Took me several days to figure out how to do the chain with the front cover still on. I had back and for emails with Wayne at Phase2 Motortrends (SR20 Specialty shop), he lead me in the right direction but he never did it that way himself.

So I did it to my car first and it worked. We I tried to do it to his car, but it's a tricky thing to do and if the process is not done 100% you have to restart and try again. Durring the atempt his chain got stuck between the lower cover and crank sprocket. So I told him thats it now and that he would have to take off the front cover, to take off the front cover you have to drop both the upper and lower oil pans, it's kinda a pain. He insisted to get the chain free dispite my objections. He got it free. Then the next day we tried it again got it running but then the chain broke, due to it was weakened.

Yeah, i remember he mentioned Brickyard...It was a color on the 350z, im not sure if that color is still in production or not.
I'd love to see the car in person when its done...I saw some production pics Orrin put up way back...and it looked amazing...
When it's done and running, there should be some sort of...Commerative cruise thingie?

240sx s13 coupe fully decked out, even a custom wide body job. Well over 60,000 CAD invested. So far the paint and body is 22k alone. DEfinately the biggest car for alberta this year, im not sure for all of canada but it will be sport cmpact car and super street worthy for sure.

Yeah skyline GTR rims, love that aggressive factory look. Darknights car is one of the most well built import cars ive even seen. I admire the build plan of his car so much that I'm using it as a guideline to build my mr2.

Any update on this? Northwest Nissans would be proud to do a feature on Orrin's dreamcar. Please contact me via PM to set this up.

The body shop said they were not happy with the fender flares and wanted to redo do them. To be honest the body shop has really screwed the project over, and I worry how long it will take.

Really disappointed in the shop - Especially considering the circumstances.

You would think that they want the car out of the shop so they can have one more spot they can use to make more money
