So a girl I know is in the market for a newer Integra. It will be an SE or GS model. Can anyone give me an idea of common problems to look far as well as things to avoid with them? Any problems with the auto (don't seem to see many autos). Having never really owned / experienced one I just don't know. Thx a lot for any feedback.

No common problems other than some minor squeaks and rattles. Both are excellent cars, the SE is just a base model with a few little upgrades, the GS is the fully loaded model. Consider a GS-R model if you can afford it, they are much nicer.

Haven't had any problems with my '94 GSR. There really isn't all that much difference between '94-2001. One thing you need to check out is the timing belt. If the car is up in the 90 000km range, make sure it was changed or getting changed.

I also used to own a 94 GSR, the first year of the redesign. No probs whatsoever when I sold it at 180,000K - extremely reliable car. Try to convince her to get a 97+ Type R ;)
